Be one with nature and come discover the trails conveniently located on your school grounds! The Gordon Natural Area is a great place to go for a leisurely walk, hike, or run. The trail is located on South Campus.  

Not sure how to exactly get there? Here are some directions to get you there!

By Shuttle Bus – Bus Stops: Church Street near University Avenue, and in front of Wayne Hall.
Get on the ALL STOPS bus. Ask the driver to stop at R LOT. The bus will drop you off right near the beginning of the trail.
By Car/ Foot- Starting at Wayne hall turn RIGHT onto Rosedale Avenue. Follow Rosedale Avenue to the first traffic light. Turn LEFT onto South New Street. At the THIRD stop sign make a LEFT and keep straight until you get to R lot, on your left.

The Gordon Natural Area asks students to follow a few regulations to keep the area safe:

  • Stay on marked trails only
  • Trails are open dawn to dusk only
  • Pets must be on a 6′ or shorter leash
  • Please clean up after your pet
  • No fires, no smoking
  • No camping
  • No fishing or hunting
  • No moving, damaging, or collecting plants, animals, or natural objects
  • No bikes or motorized vehicles
  • No littering
  • No alcoholic beverages
