Sykes After Dark

Every Friday night from 9pm-1am Sykes Student Union hosts Sykes after dark. This means each and every Friday night classes are in session you can head over to Sykes for some fun activities and events! Past activities have included comedians, ice skating and game shows. Each Friday you can always look forward to karaoke, video games, food, something to take home with you and a midnight movie.

Want to know the best part? All Sykes After Dark events are completely FREE to WCU Students!

SAC (Student Activities Council) Movies

Do you get sick of paying those hefty prices at movie theaters? SAC has your remedy! Every Thursday through Saturday 8pm and 12am and Sunday 8pm.  SAC offers movies in Sykes Theater for only $2!

Click here to print a Frequent Movie Go-er Pass! Bring the pass with you to 5 SAC movies, have it punched and you can see 1 movie for FREE!  Movies include those that have been recently in theaters. Here are some of the upcoming films:

September 29-October 2: Bad Teacher

October 6-9: Horrible Bosses

October 13-16: Transformers: Dark Side/Moon

October 20-23: Crazy, Stupid, Love

October 27-30: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows 2

Sports Events

There are over 20 WCU sports teams, check out the Athletics website to find all the teams and their schedules.

Did you know that all home football games are free to students with a valid ID? Check out their schedule. Grab a bunch of friends, tailgate and then show your Golden Rams school spirit!

 In town

The Borough of West Chester has a lot to offer itself. Check out their calendar of events to see what’s going on in town.

In addition to special events there are a number of restaurants, dessert shops and boutiques all along Market and Gay Sts. Grab a friend and walk into town, just go to High St., walk towards Sharpless and you’ll be there in no time. Don’t feel like walking? There is metered parking and a parking garage at High and Market Sts. You can also check out Paradise Transit. Late Night Bus runs from 7pm-3am. It picks you up and drops you off in style! The route includes: South Campus, Commons, High Street and Rosedale.
