Coming to school not only meant new friends and activities, it meant new beds and sleeping quarters. Having some trouble adjusting to your new sleeping schedule?

Here are some helpful tips on how to get a better night of sleep:

  • SLEEP and SEX only– Only use your bed for sleep and sex.  Keep your sleep space separate from your work space.
  • 20 Minute Limit– Taking a nap halfway through your day if you have time is a great energy booster as long as you only sleep for about 20 minutes and do not nap too close to the end of the day.
  • Turn off electronics– Stay away from electronics that emit light like the computer, television or cell phone before going to sleep. These devices stimulate your brain so your body might be ready for sleep, but your mind will not be.
